FSD210

The FSD200 and FSD210 are highly integrated Pulse Width Modulators (PWM) and Sense FETs designed specifically for high-performance off-line Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). These monolithic regulators feature an LDMOS Sense FET combined with a voltage mode PWM control block, offering a compact solution with minimal external components.

Key features of the integrated PWM controller include a fixed oscillator with frequency modulation to reduce Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Under Voltage Lock Out (UVLO) protection, Leading Edge Blanking (LEB), optimized gate turn-on/turn-off driver, thermal shutdown protection (TSD), and temperature-compensated precision current sources for loop compensation and fault protection circuitry.

Compared to discrete MOSFET and controller configurations or RCC switching converter solutions, the FSD200 and FSD210 provide advantages such as a reduction in total component count, smaller design footprint, lower weight, and increased efficiency. Additionally, these devices enhance system reliability and productivity. The FSD200, in particular, eliminates the need for an auxiliary bias winding, albeit with a small increase in supply power.
