LA4631
The LA4631 is a 5 watt, 2 channel, single ended power amplifier designed for application in audio devices. As an audio frequency (AF) power amplifier, it is used to help supply AF power to a loud speaker or other audio output device.
The LA4631 has a through hole mounting style and a pin compatibility that allows the sharing of a common printed circuit board among multiple end products with varied power ranks. The pin arrangement is similar to the LA4632 BTL, a 10 watt, 2 channel power amp.
The LA4631 is now obsolete, which means that LittleDiode is one of the few places where it can still be acquired.
Linear ICs
This component is a linear integrated circuit, this means it is a solid state analogue device, with directly proportional input and output voltages. The most common example of a linear IC is the operational amplifier, a device consisting of resistors, diodes and transistors together in a circuit. AF audio amplifiers are also devices that typically employ linear ICs like the LA4631.
About the Manufacturer
Sanyo Semiconductor Co was a components manufacturing company that was acquired by ON Semiconductor, a broader manufacturer.
LittleDiode stocks a broad range of amplifiers and other IC devices. We also have one of the broadest selections of obsolete and discontinued components available anywhere.
